game not working  from Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Official Community Site  (2008-11-18 20:52)
The game won't work. When I run it it comes up with a title graphic and then brings up with a box saying "etqw.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." My system specifications are in the attached files. Do you think they will put out a new patch that will fix the game so it works on my computer? Attached Files DxDiag.txt (49.1 KB) cpuz.txt (32.0 KB) auslogics system information 1.txt (33.6 KB) auslogics system information 2.txt (35.2 KB) cpuz htm.zip (1.4 KB)

HellO! >>Here is the start of my Sketch book<< Hopefully I will fill it with heaps of mad decent artworks. We'll see. I'm super inspired after Marama! Brilliance. Pure Brilliance. So my boss asks me today what was so great about it and I'm sure I sounded like a raving lunatic. I was trying hard to describe it. Rock star art. Such a creative enviroment. I was talking about all the people who presented and I mentioned Chris who animated for Weta and how he animated that shot of Legolas jumping on the horse and I could tell my boss thought that shot was a nightmare. Android Jones' speech was so moving. It's just cool. Phil Holland seemed like such a nice guy. Coro and Jason and lot of the guys I met reminded me a lot of friends I have except they're crazy talented. My Friends are crazy talented too though. I could go on. Anyway my boss asks me what Massive Black does and I say outsourcing and she kind of rolls her eyes and walks away. Whatever, she's ...

Wow, I just had an amazing week in Wellington at the Marama workshop. I've only (barely) lurked on the boards until now, keeping tabs on a few threads. Now that I've met so many awesome people I feel I have to jump in here a bit more seriously. Highlights from the workshop - The Massive Black guys. All totally down to earth people, more than willing to chat about art and anything else, and with mindblowing skillz to boot. I have to be honest and say I hadn't even heard of most of these guys before I arrived, but now am a giant fan of them all. Life drawing! I haven't been able to go to any in about a year so it was wonderful getting back into it again, even if I had to use A4 paper. The models were amazing, and diligently held their poses. Jason Manley's colour theory talk. It totally blew my mind - I learned far more than should be possible in that small period of time. Now to look for it in the art (and life) around me... Poring through Wes Burt's sketchbooks. The tonal str ...
To Start Things Off-- my first sketchbook!  from ConceptArt.org Forums  (2008-11-18 19:47)
Hi everyone! :^^;: I'm 18, from the Phillipines and I've just recently discovered this place all thanks to batang-gala (check her page out, fantastic sketches! http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1930101& ) The artists here are just...WOW! It really took a lot to get over my self consciousness and start a thread here. I haven't been able to practice for sometime. Its been almost 3 years since I last did anything major...and since flights of fancy change real fast, I'm not too satisfied with them any more. However, one always need a starting point so I decided to have some of the old school scanned and posted. -My first attempt at portraiture at 14 -some anatomy studies a year later...with the obvious anime influence -studies on the hands/arms -studies on the feet/legs I hope to put more up throughout the month. I'm sorry for these all these being out of date...university demands haven't been to forgiving.:dead: Also I don't have a scanner so things might be a ...
Sketches in sculpey  from ConceptArt.org Forums  (2008-11-18 19:17)
I just got home from about 4 months backpacking around Europe. Not wanting to spend that long without doing any sculpting I took some tools along and some sculpey and put together some roughs and sketches whenever I had the time. Most of these were done in around an hour or two. Some I worked on for a tad longer, some less (I'm sure you can tell which :P) It was a bit painful having to smoosh up all the work I'd done every day or two, but I guess I learned not to get too attached to these things. This one was based on a sketch by a friend That's all I got done. Any crits would be great to hear, I'm thinking of doing some polished pieces based on a couple of these ideas. Cheers
